|Starting:||Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 7:30 am|
|Ending:||Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:30 am|
If you are having problems accessing resources on a machine that has been running since before the migration, a reboot may resolve the issues. If not, please contact the SSG.
SSG will be performing a storage migration from 7:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday, January 14.
All file servers will need to be shut down for this process. This means your mapped drive from “smb” or “staff” will be inaccessible. Remote access servers such as ren.cs.iastate.edu and/or pyrite.cs.iastate.edu will be also unavailable during the transition.
There will be no impacts to email and web services. No impact to your office/lab computers except you will not be able to access your files on departmental servers.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
